Injection of radiopharmaceuticals: I am responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients prior to PET CT scans. This involves preparing and labeling the radiopharmaceuticals, calculating and administering the correct dosage, and adhering to strict radiation safety protocols during the administration process.
Image acquisition and optimization: I am responsible for acquiring high-quality PET CT images. This includes positioning patients accurately, adjusting imaging parameters, and ensuring optimal image quality. Radiographers may need to make real-time adjustments during the scan to obtain clear images for accurate interpretation by radiologists.
Patient care and comfort: Provide compassionate care to patients throughout the PET CT process. They ensure patient comfort, address patient concerns, and communicate effectively to help alleviate anxiety or stress and also monitor patients during the scan, ensuring their well-being and responding appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
Equipment maintenance and quality control: I am responsible for performing routine quality control checks on PET CT and Gamma camera equipment to ensure accurate and reliable imaging. Also assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment issues, coordinating with the appropriate technical support staff or engineers as needed.

I have also worked out of hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring continuous imaging services and prompt response to emergency cases.
