Job Description

The post holder is responsible for the day to day nursing needs of the department, ensuring the efficient and effective use of all recourses in order to deliver high quality, safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement.

This is a clinical role and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and evidence based clinical care, including phlebotomy and cannulation, assisting consultants with minor operations and procedures, wound management, injections, chaperoning, etc.

The post holder will be expected to:

  • Regularly assess and deliver direct patient care in order to maintain professional competence, authority and credibility.

  • To set and maintain high standard of care and be accountable for auditing and monitoring of care.

To work flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
